2012年に産業医との共同事業として職域多施設研究を立ち上げて以来、勤労者世代における疾病休業や生活習慣病の実態把握と予防に関する疫学研究に取り組んできました。研究テーマとして、ビタミンDの骨代謝以外の機能に着目し、がん、糖尿病、抑うつ、感染症との関連について報告してきました。さらに、新型コロナウイルス感染症のパンデミックを受け、2020年からJIHS職員を対象とした抗体調査を継続して実施しています。

I am very passionate about learning, want to build my career in epidemiological research field. So that I can learn something new, at the same time prove my efficacy.As a newcomer, I consider myself privileged to get an opportunity to work in the Department of Epidemiology and Prevention and hope that it will help me to achieve my goal. My current interest includes the association between social jetlag and metabolic syndrome. Metabolic syndrome is well acquainted as a non-communicable disease among Asian population, but the effect of social jetlag on it, is still unknown.It would be of interest to know which factors are related to social jetlag and its relationship with the development of metabolic syndrome.

I am passionate about epidemiological research that investigates how nutrition can be used both to prevent and to treat chronic diseases. Currently, I am involved in a study examining whether green tea consumption can help improve LDL-C levels among Japanese workers. For me, research is not a linear path but a lifelong journey of exploration―and I’m excited to continue growing through each step of it.
